2020 Grants

In the Spring of 2020, Los Alamos Community Foundation conducted the foundation’s first-ever competitive grantmaking cycle, in immediate response to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of $60,270 in unrestricted emergency response grants were awarded to nonprofits in Los Alamos and Rio Arriba counties in partnership with Con Alma Health Foundation, Delle Foundation, LANL Foundation, LANL/Triad National Security LLC, Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos, and United Way of Northern New Mexico.

Donor-Designated, Field-of-Interest, and Miscellaneous Grants:

  • $339 to Los Alamos Public Schools to support ongoing maintenance of the Duane Smith Auditorium from the Endowment for Duane Smith Auditorium
  • $1,178 were awarded to the agency endowments of Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization and Los Alamos Retirement Community from a community fundraising event
  • $1,365 to University of New Mexico-Los Alamos from the Community Endowment for UNM-LA
